    3. I found William M. French (1817-1886) born in Dearborn County, IN. Spent his youth in Rising Sum. Was secretary to the Switzerland County Agricultural Society. In 1851 became a partner with MacGregory in the Rising Sun "Indiana Republican".From 1855-1859 was a Trustee of Indiana University. Died 8 April 1886 and is buried in Rising Sun. Can anyone claim him? Al.

    3. Yes. He is the son of John J. and Mary Ackerman French. John J. French is my GGGGrandfather and my "brick wall". I have information on a lot of this family.
