Where and when was your "John" born Beverly French-Harms

That's a good question. According to his obit, he was born July 22, 1788 in New York, but I have also seen census records which state he was born in New Hampshire or Vermont. As I may have stated, I've also got questions about his middle name. In census records, I've seen it as an "I", a "J", and a "T". handwriting is not as easy to read all the time on the PC....
