I am looking for anyone researching the FRENCH surname in the Norwalk, Litchfield CT area. I am stuck and need help. I have been able to trace my line back to William French, b. 1767 Taunton MA - d. 1838, Norwalk, Litchfield CT & Bethia Porter b. 1767 Taunton - d. Jun 1851, Norwalk, Litchfield CT. I have a feeling that William is related to Benoni French but can not prove this at this time. Any help no matter how same will be greatly appreciated. Mark
