    3. I'd assume this was Eleanor's second marriage, the first being to a Henley. As for Washington, did you check under George W French? That's usually how "Washington's" were named originally. Then since there were a lot of Georges around, they decided to go by Washington. You'll also need to just check under just French and his age where you expect to find him and look for a G. W. in the resulting list.
