I can trace my French ancestors to William in Group 6, but I am not a male French, so cannot be tested. As far as I know, I only have one male French surviving and he apparently is unwilling to take the test. Unusual of a retired college professor, I would think, but . . . I am trying to have him convinced to join the project. He is in his 80s, so am not sure why the reluctance. Thank you.
