Was reviewing information on my Sander's line out of Nansemond and Isle of Wight. Some of them moved to Onslow. They were Quakers. "Deed of John Sanders on ONSLOW to Wm. Thomas of Carteret land in CRAVEN on NEUSE RIVER . . . . . . . . . . Land granted Martin French Nov. 1723, and John Sanders bought of LUKE GRACE Aug. 19, 1776." Source cited: D. B. 23, p. 225 (not sure, but think D. B. is probably deed book) Julia writes: There was a Richard French in Bladen Co., NC very early as well as a David and a Thomas French in Albemarle in 1696. They have never been identified.
