We have two short notes on Warner French. In trying to clarify my William French, I noted that there was a Warner L. French 1842-1862. In our family, we have Louis French, and have wondered whether Warner L. French was Warner Louis, but have nothing to signify this. Also, on the 1860 Ohio County Kentucky Census, Warner French was living in the household of my ancestors, David Shively French, 59, and Ann Hudson French, 58. An annotated version of the census gave that person as Warner C. 17. I wouldn't get too hung up on Warner C. vs Warner L. until I had looked at the original census. A curlicue "C," "L," and "B" can all look very much alike.
