I am new to the list, and am searching for my FRENCH ancestors and their family histories. What I know so far, is that my 3GGM, Rebecca FRENCH, chr.12 Apr 1784 at St. Winnow, Cornwall, England, was the daughter of William FRENCH and Ann REYNOLDS (also spelled RUNNALS and/or REIGNOLDS). Rebecca FRENCH md. Robert STONE on 13 Oct 1810 at St. Winnow. She had perhaps fifteen siblings, and Rebecca was #13 in the family. I know very little of her siblings, nor who their spouses and descendants were, so I am asking for your help on the following: Mary FRENCH, chr. 30 Oct 1764, St. Breward, Cornwall. Did she marry? If so, whom and did she have children, grandchildren? Ann FRENCH, chr. 20 Apr 1766, Bodmin, Cornwall. Did she marry? If so, whom and did she have children, grandchildren? William FRENCH, chr. 30 Jun 1776, St. Winnow, Cornwall; d. 24 Aug 1817. Since he lived to be 41 years old, did he marry, and if so, whom? Did they have children, grandchildren? A child who was buried 13 Apr 1778 at St. Winnow. Who was he/she? When born? Cause of death? James FRENCH, chr. 6 Apr 1779, St. Winnow, Cornwall; d. bef 1781. Cause of death? Jane FRENCH, chr. 13 May 1781, St. Winnow, Cornwall. Did she marry, if so whom, did they have children, grandchildren? Is she James' twin? James FRENCH, chr. 13 May 1781, St. Winnow, Cornwall. Did he marry, if so whom, did they have children, grandchildren? Is he Jane's twin? Rebecca FRENCH, my 3 GGM, md. Robert STONE (info in first paragraph). Any historical info would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to receive what info I have on her descendants, I would be happy to share what I have. Edward FRENCH, chr. 10 Jul 1786, St. Winnow, Cornwall; d. 8 Feb 1834, Launceston, Tasmania, Australia. Supposedly sent to Australia for criminal activity, though I have no documentation to support this tidbit. There is supposed to be a book about him and his brother, Francis FRENCH, titled, "Go . . . Forth and Multiply . . . " I would love to obtain my own copy, if at all possible. Francis FRENCH, chr. 8 Feb 1791, St. Winnow, Cornwall; d. 11 Jan 1850, Longford, Tasmania, Australia; md. Mary OLIVER 21 Jun 1810, St. Winnow, Cornwall. Evidently went to Australia with his wife and family. Their descendants? Histories? Bridget FRENCH, b. abt. 1793, prob. at St. Winnow, Cornwall; md. abt 1821 to Thomas CHANNON. Did they have children? Grandchildren? Did she also migrate to Australia? If so, is a history available? I would greatly appreciate any information you might have on my 3GGM's siblings and their descendants. I am doing research for a family history book on my dad's ancestors, planning to write it in 2008, after research is completed this year, and will need all the information I can gather, with sources, if possible. Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to offer. Kind regards, Sherry Ann Miller
