Our first David French was thought to either have a father George or to have George as a second name. He married Margaret/Peggy Shively in 1790 in Louisville, Kentucky. Their son David Shively French married Ann Hudson in 1820 in Ohio County, Kentucky. We have David Frenches in every generation, often every son had a son David, so sometimes multiple cousins were Davids. I am very intrigued by George French/Elizabeth Sturman French. I would bet George is the brother of David and that their father was a George or, again, David George. We have submitted male-line DNA to the French Family DNA| project. Do any of you have a male who could submit to that process.
