Maybe I have not been making myself clear, Warner French was my ggf, I have his picture, my grandmother resembles him. I thought for several years that he was the son of Phillip & Sarah..but upon closer examination, he was Phillips' son & mother unknown! Since we are stuck on Phillip---I am atempting to find Warner and maybe that will unlock a piece of the the puzzle. Phillip is supposed to have been b. in KY but the 1820 census in Butler co. OH says he was b. OH. Census records do have mistakes sometimes. Who knows??? mhh
