I have a George Will French, born ca 1833-1834 in New York, died 4/8/1865 at Annapolis, MD - a Civil War POW. He was married to Mary A. (Unknown) who was born 1/8/1839 in New York and died 8/28/1898. Will & Mary were married prior to his 8/4/1862 enlistment, when they were residing at McHenry, Illinois. He served in Company F, 95th Infantry Regiment Illinois. Their children included Charles Byron French (born 5-1-1859 in Fayette, Wisconsin) and Nellie French. Does anyone have any additional infomation on this family? Does anyone have a New York French family that he might fit into? Thanks, Sue
