    3. Sorry about that Dave, but I think adoption and marriage are the only two occasions that allow one to select their relatives. The Thomas French lineage is on line -- try a google search. I prefer the hardcopy. These 2 volumes are the best documented French family research available - an excellent example of what should be included when you published a book about your ancestors. j french -----Original Message----- >From: DAVE DARDINGER <dedmod@msn.com> >Sent: Jan 24, 2007 9:47 AM >To: french@rootsweb.com >Subject: Re: [FRENCH] French Family Association > >You can get it on a CD from GenealogyCDs.com . 3. Well, I did try googling but didn't find any on-line copy of the book. I found a number of people selling copies of the two volume books for $120.00 and up. And I saw other CDs for $60 and up. But a CD with that and lots of other documents for $20 doesn't seem available and I didn't even find anyone with the entire volumes as a .ged, though I'm sure at one time I'd found it on-line. Anyway, in case I didn't make it clear, this CD I mentioned has the original pages, not just a transcript. And, yes, the original books are nice; I know a fellow whose family got a set of the books when they were more or less new and he showed me his books; though he's not a genealogist himself. But since I can't even be sure I'm connected to the tree, I can't see paying $100+ for it.
