Hi Mara, I have read that Joseph FRENCH was born in Marshfield, Plymouth Co. MA in several GEDCOM files with this source: Title: Families of Cavendish, Vol 3 Author: Linda Margaret Farr Welch/Cavendish Historical Society - Cavendish, VT Note: The Early Settlers of the Black River Valley in Windsor County, Vermont. A Social and Genealogical History Source Media Type: Book Page: 196 And also have seen the Latter Day Saints, Family History Library listed as a source also. Here's a website of Richard French who lists his birthplace as Marshfield or Cambridge, MA http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~frenchrl86/ Where do you have him born? Cambridge? I don't have it written in stone of course, as Don was saying, I use pencil! Are you descended from this line also? Nancy Where did you get the data that Joseph was born in Marshfield?
