    3. The Philip B. French who was bound out in 1821 (probably abt 11 at this time) is probably the Philip B. French who moved to Patoka, Gibson County, Indiana before 1850. He dies before 1860 and the family is listed under his wife, Ann in 1860, 1870 and 1880 in Patoka, Gibson, IN. His last son is also named Philip B (or D) and probably is the Philip B. French with spouse Annie Hickrod, license dated 5 Nov 1885 in Gibson, IN. I find this Philip B. interesting. He was born in New Jersey abt 1809. I wonder which John French living in New Jersey abt 1810 was living in Kentucky by 1821? In the 1850 Census, Gibson, IN, living next to him, a probable sister-in-law, Hannah French, 55, also born New Jersey, with a son Simon H., 22, born Kentucky and a daughter, Catherine J., 17, born Indiana. Phillip B. and Ann French named their children Peter, Martha Jane, Ephraim, Simon, William, and Phillip. The only John French I find in the 1810 census index for Kentucky is living in Mason Co., KY. He is age 45 and up, but has a younger wife, apparently, and shows 2 sons under age 10 and 2 sons age 10-16. This John was born 1765 or earlier.
