    3. Hi all As there is much discussion about French's at the moment i will have another go at seing if anyone has any info on my dead end. My great great grandmother Caroline French married Samuel Mayhew. Based on the birth of their children this is likely to have been in London in the early 1840's. I guess therefore she was born in the period 1815 - 1825. Subsequently Samuel and at least 3 of their children emigrated to Australia in 1849. I have doubts as to whether Caroline came out - i think she stayed in England with another 2 or 3 of the children of the marriage. Anybody got any Caroline French''s anywhere in Britain that might fit ? happy hunting Peter ----- Original Message ----- From: <missuspjn@vic.chariot.net.au> To: <french@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, January 26, 2007 11:14 AM Subject: Re: [FRENCH] French Family Association > Good Morning Mara....on this Australia Day > Thank you for your message..... > I will expand on our family here, in the hope that maybe a lister has > interest in this line: > > I understand that Mary Ann French born 1813 Witham, Essex had three little > Frenches..Mary 1934, James 1836 and Jane 1939 > James French [1836] and Maria Shilley [Abt 1839] had: > James 1864 Woolwich, Henry 1865 Woolwich, Louiza 1867 Plumstead, William > 1869 Plumstead, Elizabeth Ann 1873 Plumstead, Charles 1875 Bethnal Green and > Wallace 1878 Plumbstead > My line is through Elizabth Ann who married George Lepard, their daughter > Maud Elizabeth married John Henderson Jackson and emigrated to Australia > The remainder of this line is unknown... > I wonder if they emigrated to the US??????? > > Best Wishes > pamela > > > > Mara French writes: > > > Pamela, I am sorry I have no information for you.
