The Pantagraph Bloomington, Illinois McLean County August 8, 2000 --------------------------------- Lois Johnson Lois Johnson, 82, of Springfield, formerly of Bloomington, died Sunday (Aug. 6, 2000) at Memorial Medical Center. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Vancil Memorial Funeral Chapel, Springfield, the Rev. Roosevelt Smith officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Springfield. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel. Memorials may be made to Kumler United Methodist Church or Washington Street Mission. She was born April 5, 1908, at Sullivan, the daughter of Joseph C. and Myrtle F. Vandeventer French. She married Harlen S. White in 1926 at Mattoon. He died in 1967. Survivors include two daughters, Harlene DeBauch, Theodosia, Mo.; and Pat (Gil) Slagel, Palm Desert, Calif.; one brother, Andrew (Theresa) French, Springfield; two sisters, Emma Shellhammer and Irene White, both of Springfield; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. {DEBBIE} http://community.webtv.net/jmhall1/HALLSFROMPOWELL
