Marion et al, Your message: "I have recently received a photocopy of another of the books that my great grandfather, John C. French authored and have come across some information regarding the Lyman family. Would the researcher of the French-Lyman family please contact me if interested in the information." I am very interested in your message. We have corresponded before about the FRENCHs, but were not able to make a connection at that time. I have a Lyman FRENCH who died in 1883 in Monroe County, New York. He was the son of Marquis H. FRENCH 1843-1924 and Huldah E. HINCKLEY [1852-1925]. Both Marquis [also called Marcus] and Huldah died in Monroe County, New York. I would be very interested in any LYMAN/FRENCH connection that might shed some light on this family. Thanks in advance, Jocelyn Hubbard, Gaithersburg, MD johubbard@erols.com
Hi, My name is Gail Rogers. My great great grandfather was Freeman French from Naples NY(Ontario County, which is just south of Monroe County). I was interest in your Lyman/French connection. One of his children was named Lyman.b. 1863 and died 1880. Freeman's father was Joseph French. He had another son named Peter, whose daughter Mary A. married an E. Hinckley. Seems like we might be connected but not real sure how. I would be intersted to know what you have and will share with you as well. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
