    3. Ok, I am going to try to do this. I hope it makes sense to everyone. I got it off my animap. 1791- Herkimer, Otsego, Tioga formed from Montgomery County, NY. 1791- Otsego (OT) Founded: 1791 County Seat: Cooperstown Location: Central 1794- Onondaga from Herkimer, Tioga 1795- Schohalie from Albany, Otsego 1796- Steuben from Ontario 1797- Delaware from Ulster, Otsego, Montgomery gained from Herkimer 1798- Chenango From Herkimer, Tioga Oneida from Herkimer 1799- Cayuga from Onondaga 1800- Greene from Ulster, Albany 1816- Herkimer gained from Otsego. 1817- Delaware gained from Otsego. Herkimer gained from Montgomery 1822- Otsego gained from Delaware Apparently Otsego stayed the same from 1822 until at least 1915. There were other changes in the state but I was only looking for the area around Otsego County, NY. I forgot the years you were looking for so I hope this helps you to figure out what other counties might have your family records. If I can help anymore please let me know. Good luck, Tommie ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gail Rogers" <rogersga@wpe.com> To: <FRENCH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, August 14, 2000 4:01 PM Subject: Re: [FRENCH-L] French in Otsego County > New York > > At 06:47 AM 8/14/00 -0500, you wrote: > >What state are these counties in?
