French List Members, Could someone please clear up something for me. I have always been under the impression that Mary FRENCH b.1634 dau. of Thomas & Mary (Scudamore) FRENCH married Robert SMITH b. bef. 1626. Isn't this couple the ggrandparents of Joseph Smith, of the Mormon church? I have been reading an article that states all the records that name have named these people as the gggrandparents of Joseph Smith are incorrect and the correct names are William SMITH and Rebecka KEAS. This is suppose to be according to Topsfield Vitals. Does anyone happen to know the truth in this matter? If the author is correct, how is it that "so many" of these other records would be wrong?
