Lorri: Chart #5: According to FFA Chart #5, Thomas French's parents were John French, Jr (1640-41) and Experience Thayer. Thomas married Mary "Marcy" Allen. And John French, Jr's parents were John French (ca 1612) and Grace Kingsley. This John French came from Dorset, England in ca. 1637 and settled in Braintree and Dorchester, MA. His decendants, including Thomas French, are the subject of FFA's Chart #5. I don't have much on John French Jr as my line follows from his brother Samuel French (1659). But Chart #5 does show that Thomas French's son Micah French b. Nov 3, 1720 in Braintree was thought to have no offsprings. Confirmation of John French's descendants can be found in numerous library sources, including the Vinton Memorial, the Harry Dana French collection, the Sprague Collection, the Thayer Memorial, and many other books. Chart #1: It is my understanding that Thomas French b 1584 in Assington, County Suffolk, England, emigrated to Ipswich, MA in 1630, and is the subject of FFA's Chart #1.
