My French's were also from Ky and IL. I am connected to them trough my great grandfather, John Wesley Hall from Stanton, Ky. His two sisters married French brothers, Ella Hall married George French and Martha aka Mattie married George's brother, Nicholas or David Nicholas French. George and Ella left Ky and came to Illinois and lived and died in McLean County. Nicholas died at a young age but his widow Martha (Hall) French and had 1 child, a girl and was with child at the time Nicholas died. She later gave birth to a son, named Millard. One of John's brothers married a Roberts and one of John's sisters married R.P. Rose. All of these marriages took place in Powell County, Ky. at Stanton.
