Martha ? c173?, children include: Matthew, James, Joseph, Esther and possibly a William and Ann. John C. is original Fairfax grantee 1749, died 1750 Frederick County VA, said to have been from MD. I descend from Matthew who is probably oldest child because of record below: Order Book 5, Winchester, Frederick County, VA August 9th 1753, Matthew French guardian to James, Joseph, and Esther. August 9, 1753. "Matthew French is appointed guardian of James French, Joseph French, and Esther French orphans of John French deceased, he having entered into bond together with Francis Williams and Edward Burke, his securities, and they having acknowledged their bond, the order given to be recorded." Does anyone have info on the family of Jacob French who married Barbara Key 1784 in Bedford Co., Virginia ? I searched for this particular marriage info on the LDS site and found a Joseph French who married a Barbara Key. Does anyone have info on any of the children of this marriage ? Thanks. Joseph

Dear Joseph, I found the same information but have nothing more on Joseph. I made note of it because I have a Joseph, Jacob, and Henry who had a father, Jacob, in Frederick Co, Va. Am trying to find a will or something to connect them to Jacob's father. Henry was supposed to have been born in MD. He is the line that I am researching. If you would happen to find anything, please keep me in mind.
