I belive that I have a reference that says that Joseph and Hannah were in SC. Your record contends that Joseph, Jr. died in 1760 in NJ. This means that their oldest child, Lafford, was 7 at the time and Sarah, William, Joseph (III) and Simon went to SC with their mother or went on their own. I think that 1760 is about the time Joseph, Jr. and family left NJ for SC It seems to me that the date of Joseph, Jr's death is challengeable. Would you provide me with a documentation reference? The record shows that Joseph FRENCH, Sr applied for permission to marry in 1722 and that the Friends (Quakers) permission was granted. Joseph, Jr. was born some time after that, so I suspect that 1727 is correct, but I have never seen such a reference. I could use a referece here also. Thanks for the effort you are making to keep the record for all of us to use. Incidentally, I am of the Joseph and Hannah (Horn) FRENCH line thru their son, William, and his daughter, Jane, who m. Captain John DENTON. I do not have the wife of William or his place/date of death. Could use some help. Best regards, Hugh
