    2. I don't believe that Hugh was "jumping on your case". He is a valuable researcher to the FRENCH list, and has spent many years in this effort. It is easy to misunderstand intent in email, especially when the statement or question is quickly to the point. You did state that Joseph FRENCH was born in NJ and died there. That indicates that he did not leave NJ. If you had no place of death, that should have been stated or the date and place of death omitted. When erroneous data gets started, it is harder to stop it if you don't do it immediately. To let it go by, without question is, in effect, agreeing with it. If you decide to leave our group, we will not try to stop you, but it will be your loss, not ours, as we "old timers" have lots of data to share, and Hugh has helped many, including myself.
