    3. Dear Ralph, There is a Michael French in Mississippi ,near Jasper County, who is trying to find out more about William M. French who was my G Grandfather. I know that William left Dale County, Al and went on to Jasper County, Mississippi. I believe that his ancestors and my ancestors are related. He says that his great great uncle lived in Al. before going to Mississippi. There was in a household a lady whose name was Harriet in 1850 census.. Evidently her husband was dead. My great -grand father was killed in 1857 and his wife Christian McInnis French stayed in Miss. until her child by William M. French was born. She named the baby Harriet. I believe that that baby was named after William M.s mother Harriet. Later, after the baby was born, Christian came back to Dale County to be near her family. Hope this is not too confusing. What do you think? On Sun, 14 May 2000 20:05:39 EDT RafB@aol.com writes: > Hello Mary Agnes--- > Your message is most intrigueing to me, for you see one of my > ggrandfathers was Joseph P.
