Does anyone know of a FRENCH family in NJ. On the ss application of my half Uncle Henry his mother is listed as Sara French. This is the first time the surname French has appeared. Henry was born in Warrenville NJ in 1894. His father's name was Valentine SWODY. He had at least three brothers: William born 1868 in Whitehouse NJ; Frank born 1892 in Coontown NJ: and Peter born 1895 in North Plainfield Township NJ. I am mystified. Barbara of Baltimore
