Marion, Thank you for the help. I am looking for a full blood Cherokee. I wonder if any of these people at Valley Forge were Indian. They were from North and South Carolina. My ggrandmother was Mary T. French, b. 1823 in North Carolina. I have found a man who might be her brother named William L. French, Cherokee name, Co-dos-ki, who's father was French Hawk-Frank French, Cherokee name, Col-lun-see Gar-lun-chi. I have hoped to find another like myself whose name came from native beginnings.
