From my family records: Richard French was a 3x Congressman from Montgomery County. He was born June 20, 1792 and died May 1, 1854. He married Mary Taliaferro. His father, James, was at Valley Forge. He also went to William & Mary. He settled to Kentucky and was also a Judge there. James' parents were William and Winifried, both born in Ireland. They settled in the Prince William Co. & Stafford Co. area of Virginia. James' brother Stephen is my 4th great grandfather. -Suzanne French Keesler
