The short answer to the question is yes. However she is not Margaret Gaines. The source for this mistake is a footnote in AP&P. I am certain Margaret the wife of Hugh is not the daughter of Daniel Gaines. She did marry John Prosser by whom she had one son Anthony Prosser.
