Hello fellow researchers, I need assistance is proving Joseph French (married Christiana Slim in Moorestown NJ and was the father of Lewis Devote French) was the son of William French the son of Jonathan French. I know Jonathan married Hester Matlack in Haddonfield MM 1/12/1744. He died prior to her second marriage to Vespian Kemble in 1774. I have William listed as his son and need proof. William's marriage register only says he married Ruth Higby at the Gloria Dei Church. I cannot link these two outside of the Genealogies of the Descendants of Thomas French by Howard Barclay French. Has anyone found the proof I'm seeking? Thanks Diane NY
