Richmond Co. VA records show the following: 5 Sep 1705 "Petition of Hugh French, son of Hugh. Margaret, the widow, married 2dly John Somervale. Hugh, the son, is over 16." If I remember correctly, isn't this the woman often listed as Margaret GAINES, widow of John PROSSER? I'd like to straighten out this FRENCH line because I'm attempting to study some of their associates and migration patterns. Vickie Elam White
