Notes for JOHNNY RICHARD FRENCH: Granma Deaton always called him Buddy. It seems John R. was a tailor while in Paris, Texas, and also worked the oil field. The story goes that he made a suit of cloths for Frank James, the brother of th efamous Jesse James while in Paris, Texas. He always wore tailored cloths as did the French son's in the earoly 1920's. Frances French Absdie wrote a story about Johnny being injured in an oil field accident.
