No I am not a member of the French Association. The Frenches are in my late husband's line. He descended from either two or three Frenches. One was Margaret French, b. ca. 1612, who married Edward Lamb. She was a daughter of Thomas and Susannah Riddlesdale. Another was Mary Elizabeth French, b. 1823, who married William Walker Call. She was the daughter of Jonathan and Dorothy P. Carrier. A third possibility is the husband of Mary Paine, b. 1689, who was married either to Samuel French or Samuel Hayward. She may have lived in Braintree, but I can't find a marriage of a Samuel French that fits. That's about it. Liz
