Hi there, anyone on the list. I am hoping once more to find someone on the list who maybe has a clue about my French connection. I have tried in vain for many years to find any clues on my George French. His daughter (my great-great grandmother, Lucy French was born Oct. 20, 1837 supposedly in Pike Co., IL. I have never found her family listed in any census record and only know that, at least according to her death certificate, her parents were named George French and Lucy (maiden name unknown). Lucy French married Amos Williams (about who I also nothing on his parents) on Jan. 11, 1855 in Greene Co., IL. Greene Co. borders Greene Co. to the south. By tradition I know they are supposed to have moved by wagon train to Nebraska, but have never been able to verify that. I know that Amos and Lucy lived in the Omaha, NE area in the early 1900s.
