To all descendants of Gideon French of Stewart, Henry & Carroll Co., TN, I have become a member of the National Society United States Daughters of 1812, based on the service of Gideon, who fought in the Battle of New Orleans with Andrew Jackson. If you would like to join in your area, you can use my application as your proof. For you guys, you will have to find out if the Sons of 1812 will accept the application of the Daughters.
