I have been on the mailing list for a while, but so far haven't found any clues to my French ancestor, who is William B. French. I know he married Susan George in Rusk, Cherokee Co TX 26 Mar 1856. Their children were William Adolphous b. ca 1856, Nancy b. ca 1858, Richard Francis, b. 15 Dec 1861, Virginia V. b. ca 1865, Mary M. b. 1868, Ella (?), and John B. b. 6 Feb 1871 all in TX. William is buried in Van Zandt Co. TX. William might have been born in AL or GA in Mar 1828 but I have no idea who his parents were. If anyone has helpful information it would be greatly appreciated.
