    3. Hi Jean, To tell you the truth I have no idea if we could connect or not. The only information I have on Eugene is what I found in a book written by a family member for a reunion several years ago. I will quote it for you: "John Richard French was born July 7, 1873 in Georgia, probably Macon, Georgia, to William Richmond French and Susan Elfira Moore French. It seems they lived there but moved to Louisiana some time later. William R. French died in Big Sandy, Texas when John R. was only 10 years old, probably in 1883.Susan M French remarried three times, once to a Mr. Slappy, once to a Mr. Thomas and to a Mr. Deaton of Pittsburg, Texas. John R. had three brothers, Will French, Eugene French, and Amry French. Amry died at 16 years of age in 1896. Eugene French loved in North Carolina and Lakeland Florida. Will French lived in New Orleans before and at the time of her death. (Susan's) John R. French's uncle, Uncle Frank French, William Richmond's brother lived in Mount Pleasant, Texas. There were relatives there at the time. A cousin Jack French lived in Paris." This is all the information I have on Eugene. I do know that it is a family name. My father's name is Eugene as well. If you have the information on your husband's father (is he still alive?)t his original application for Social Security. It will have his parents names on it. That is how I found my husband's great grandparents name. From his grandfather's SS app. This is the first lead to any possibility of my family I have found on the list. I would like to see where it goes. You never can tell. Carol

    3. Carol, I know that Robert Harlan French's father's name is Harlan Spencer French and his mother's name is Leona Ann Moody. They were married in Tampa May 14, 1924 and Robert was born in Lakeland May 1 or 2, 1928. I'm still trying to find out why Harlan was in this area as his family was from Missouri and he is buried in Naylor County, MO. Leona's family migrated to Bunnell, Fl from Appel Co., Georgia and I have information on her family back pretty far. Thought the Eugene/Lakeland connection would help clear up this mystery! Maybe that was a cousin of Robert's or a brother of Harlan's as I don't know anything yet about Harlan's family. Let's look at it and see where it goes. Good hunting!
