Since my FRENCH family was from Orange County, Indiana, I can identify the Robert FRENCH below as: Robert Dougherty FRENCH, son of Samuel FRENCH and Julia Ann DOUGHERTY. He married Nancy KIRK 17 January 1833. His Uncle was George Hedges FRENCH and Mary "Polly" ROBBINS. Here are some notes on the family. If anyone else has connections, there are three of us looking for this family that I know of....we'd love to hear from you. French, Robert State : IN County : Martin Co. Here is the obit of Hulda FRENCH Pro: PRO, Hulda; "August 8, 1888--Mrs. Hulda PRO died last Thursday of hemmorage of lungs--78 years. Her maiden name was FRENCH. She was born and raised on the old French farm in Northwest Twp. Mother of John & George PRO, Mrs. Miller GHERKIN & Mrs. Henry GROSS. So the Huldy FRENCH who married Andrew BOWLES was not the Hulda who married a PRO as she "died" a PRO. Does anyone on the list have info on any of these other FRENCH people so we could "sort" them out? Thanks, Jan Lund -----Original Message----- From: T.
