The numbered FFA charts were designated about in 1987 on paper in a newsletter. Since that time, the internet has become widely available. I plan to gradually put these charts online. Of course this will take sometime because they are in various formats. More when I return from Spain and after my move to my retirement home is settled. Hi William, your chart is Chart No. 11. I will get in touch with you when I return to the U.S. I am in Spain. Took it for granted my line was here, but don't see it? Please advise how to establish a chart. My family's genealogy was published in 1940 by my great uncle, MANSFIELD JOSEPH FRENCH, and was entitled, Ancestors and Descendants of Samuel French the Joiner of Stratford Connecticut, 2d edition, Edwards Bros Inc, Ann Arbor, MI. I am attempting to update, correct and augment that work in a 3rd edition. The 2d edition had about 3,000 names, I presently have over 8,000. Thank you for whatever assistance you may offer. Hi Jeff, thanks for sending these out. I plan to add this list to the French Family Association website in the near future with links to each chart. Right now I am in an internet cafe in San Sebastian, Spain, awaiting the wedding of my son on April 12 nearby. Next I am going to Vienna to visit relatives on my mothers side. Back in the U.S., I am moving to my retirement home. My email is the same, but my address is changing from San Jose, California to P.O. Box 1109, 130 Frakes Street, Sutter Creek, CA 95685, 209-267-0649. This is a gold rush town on Highway 49 in the center of California, and because it is so small, we do not have mail delivery to the house, so address any queries to the Post Office Box. Adios for now from Spain. Ralph, I believe that your Joseph who was born in 1812 must have been related to my William M. French who was killed by a notorious gambler in 1857 in Jasper County. William's wife, Christian, and several of his children(James Edward, and Harriet Frances )state in one census that William was born in S.C. I know he married Christian McInnis in 1842 in Dale County and had three children when he moved away from Dale and then moved to Mississippi.. He owned land in Dale County, Al. and his wife's people lived near by in Barbour or Dale Counties. Why did he move to Jasper County, Mississippi? I have found through Michael French who lived not so very far from Jasper County, that Frenches lived there in 1850. They must have been his relatives. There was a Jessie French who lived in Alabama in Pike County, Al. in 1910. What do you think? My grandfather was Angus LaFayette French, a son of William M. French.
