    3. Dorothy, As far as I know there was no William Miles French that I know of in my French family. My Frenches were in South Carolina, Tennessee, Illinois and Texas. So sorry I can't help you, but wish you luck with your genealogy. Thank you for writing. Carolyn

It is getting straightened out now, but as a result, I have lost all of my emails for the past two days, and wouldn't you know it, I had sent out some important things and was also waiting for some important news. Here is what I have found on her to date which I think last I contacted you I did not have some of it. French, Cassandra (Keziah) b 1796 in Va. mar William Davis 1812 place unk but may have been Dearborn Co or Franklin Co Ind or Va. They had 2 sons, Joshua and John, One b in June 1813 the other b Dec 1814. Unk of William's death or when. BUt Cassandra marries, Moses Brannan using the name KEZIAH Davis in 1818, Apr. in Franklin Co. Ind but lived in Dearborn Co Ind untill abt 1828 when they went to Jackson Co Ind. They leave there after 1851 abt 1853? and go to Iowa Co Iowa. boiught prop in Kozsta, and both are bur there. Moses in Sept 1871 and Will prob Sept 1872 in Court House Iowa Co Ia. Cassandra put names and births etc in a Fam Bible of which I have copies but the title page was missing from the bible. A descendat of William Brannen ( Wm used the EN) of oldest son has the bible today.In ILL. Cassandra died in 1890 at age 95 in Toledo, Tama Co Ia where she resided with her son, William after Moses died in 1871. son William died in 1895 same place. I need imfo on this Cassanra French. There were some Frenches in Wash and Greene Co Tnn as well as Moses's Brannan family in late abt 1800's and up to past 1850. There also was another of this same Brannan(on) family who mar a French in Tnn. In Cassandra and Moses Brannan Marriage and census of 1820 etc. these 2 Davis boys are not with this family so may have been raised by a Davis relative ??? unk. Abt 1826 Joshua was bound over to a Gerard or Guard surname man in Dearborn Co. as an orphan. Why as an Orphan when he had a mother remarried living there???? These 2 boys were in Jackson Co in 1830's etc. and reported to have ben workers on the River boats on one of the Rivers. Unk anymore about them. Maine WILTON (new name) was Westerfield prior to feb 15, 2000. Have you any Cassandra (Keziah) French who may fit this discription in the data Base.??? Brad's great grandfather's name was really Constantino Mischelissimo. His grandfather changed the first name and made it their last name. In case your are having trouble with the Constantine line, you might check this out. William married Nancy Chapman, and their daughter, Frances was a G-Grandmother. Frances was born about 1800. Not sure, but assume there were other children of William and Nancy. They later moved to Independence County, Arkansas when it was still Arkansas Terrritory. William must have died but Nancy shows in 1850 census for Izard Co., AR as living with a son or grandson. Wish I had more specific information on your Levi, but thought I would contact you as my Frenches lived in same area at same time. Believe Simon was born in Spartanburg Co., SC and THINK that he was a Revolutionary War veteran, maybe got a land grant in Kentucky as a bonus?
