    3. My Vermont French family is listed in the 1850 census for Moretown, Vt. The William French in this census shows he was born in MA. Also, on one source for his marriage to Olive Merrill, it states he is from Salisbury, MA. William was born March 14, 1785 and died December 31, 1857. He married Olive Merrill June 3, 1808 according to IGI. They had several children: Olive French b: June 21, 1815; d: March 25, 1905; m: Dudley Sleeper Eliza A. French b: March 15, 1815; d: May 1881; m: Daniel Rice Thomas French b: June 28, 1818; d: May 12, 1844 William French, Jr. b: August 1820; d: March 1881 Hezekiah B.     3. As far as I know there was not a John French in this family, but there could have been other children that I don't have. My Nathaniel French and his family lived in Denton County, Texas and owned quite a bit of land where Lake Dallas now sits. Wish I could help. Carolyn
