    3. Hi list, I am looking for a Russell French that was born in either 1790 or 1791 in Mass. He married a Eunice Hayes that would have been born close to this date. Also she had a brother by the name of Jesse Hayes. I am trying to link them to somewhere in Mass. where I can find birth records, census etc. He has to have brothers and sister, I would think. If someone is looking in Mass. for their French line and stumble across some information, please let me know. Thanks Jeff in Houston.

    2. Thank you so much, Carolyn. We have pretty good records back as far as Joseph but, nothing further. We do know that he was at various times a successful farmer, hotel operator, Pike County Official, and was for some years before his decease, a layman Baptist minister. We will be most anxious to hear of any information on this him. Ralph Banks, Austin, TX

    3. Ralph, It is very possible he could be related to my French family. My Nathaniel French had a daughter Nancy Jane that married a Joseph P. Sutton. The Frenches and Suttons all came from South Carolina and apparently were pretty close group. I will certainly watch for your Joseph P. French.
