    1. George French in Maryland
    2. Hi List, I am seeking information about George French and his wife Ariana (or Arrianna), who are known to have lived in Montgomery County, MD, at least in the late 1780s and early 1790s. He also owned land and was probably otherwise active in Washington Co., MD. George and Ariana were probably born in the mid-1700s and probably did not live beyond the early 1800s, but I have no certain information about them beyond that in the first two sentences. I am also interested in George French, husband of Maria C. Booth, who lived, I believe, 1790-1734, resided in Washington Co., MD, and who may have been a son or nephew of the elder George French. Any further information you can provide about either George French and/or his wife and children would be greatly appreciated! Thank you much. Bob

    1. John Alvin Eugue FRENCH, b. November 25, 1933, d. July 1, 2006
    2. J. Michael Frost
    3. The following obituary was published in The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, AZ, July 7, 2006, p. B9: John Alvin Eugene French Born - November 25, 1933 in Albuquerque, New Mexico To Anne and Charles French. Died - July l, 2005 [sic; should be 2006] in Glendale, Arizona. He is survived by his wife Doris of 48 years, He is also survived by: his children and their spouses Kathryn French (Michael LeVault), James (Linda) French, and Michelle (James) Costanzo: his grandchildren Shane (Sharon) French, Clint French, Brandon Beach, and Nico Costanzo: his great granddaughters Sierra and Bailey French; his brothers Charles French and Edward Angus; special Sister-and Brother-In-Law Marilyn and Jerry Plantz and their children Robin Stigleman, Michael and Richard Plantz: many other Brother-and Sister-In-Laws, nieces and nephews. John rededicated his life to life Lord in 1981 and began the Mexico Missions for Calvary Chapel and later added The Church on Randall Place in Pine, Arizona as contributors to the mission fields. He continued with this mission work with his dear friend Nacho Trujillo until he became ill in May 2006. Nacho and John worked together for more than 17 years taking food, clothing and other necessities to those needy souls. He loved the Lord unconditionally and the people of Mexico came second only to that love. He truly walked the walk and talked the talk of a man of God. He has many stars in his crown for all the souls that were led to the Lord during the Mission trips to Mexico. Each time he went he came home flying higher than the trip before. He loved the people of the small Mexican villages that the Mission served. He loved the Mexican people and they loved him even though he never learned to speak Spanish. He always said God provided and he didn't need to speak Spanish to communicate with these special people. John loved Bluegrass Gospel and Gaither Family Music. He was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish with his family. He served his country as a Marine. John and Doris attended Calvary Chapel Central Phoenix and when in Pine, Arizona attended the Church on Randall Place. Through these two churches John and Doris have many brothers and sisters in Christ. He will be greatly missed by his family, his church family, and the people of Mexico. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on behalf of John French to Mexico Missions at Calvary Chapel Central, 2831 W. Glendale Ave., Glen dale, AZ 85051 or to The Church on Randall Place, P.O. Box 1032, Pine, AZ 85544. A Celebration of John's life will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 2 P.M. at Calvary Chapel Central, 2831 W. Glendale Ave., Glendale, AZ 85051.

    3. Thanks, Mara. The Library does sell it, but does not ship and I am 125 miles west of Chicago. But, they did put me in contact with the Billerica Historical Society (www.billericahistorical.org) which does. So, I have it on the way. Thanks again.
