I'm with Billie on this. Sure, you CAN make a CSS "solution" simulate a HTML table, but it's a lot more complicated and difficult -- both in the design and in the execution. It's too much like something Rube Goldberg would have devised; many intervening steps all have to work perfectly before the intended result is achieved. If a table format is the way to present the content, it would take a very good argument to convince me that direct and simpler isn't better. Now, I like CSS and use it. A lot! But to me it's still just an add-on to dress up presentation. Fancy paint on the car doesn't substitute for horsepower in the engine. Or, maybe, I just don't get it.
