Pat Asher asked if I was using the correct file name. Perhaps my terminology was wrong, but my exploration of Filezilla somehow led to this. What I'm really trying to do is take this link - http://sites.rootsweb.com/~boyerlinks/, which is taken from the pre-hiatus Rootsweb, last year, and make it work in the revised version. The links all work but I can't change anything in the site. I think I need to go back to the top of Pat's instructions and basically start again. I guess I can't just copy over that link. My frustration must be evident. Neil > > _______________________________________________ >
Neil, Just looking at your ~boyerlinks page, I note that you have various directories from the links on that page. If you go back to Patricia Geary's - http://sites.rootsweb.com/~gearyfamily/publishing-your-sites.html ... and examine her gearfamily directories - top right FileZilla pane. The first directory is genealogy_html, which leads to all her sub-directories. When you open FileZilla, you should see boyerlinks in the top right pane. Clicking on that should open up genealogy_html and subsequently your boyer, jackson and waltman directories in the pane below. Clicking on the appropriate directory will reveal the files in it.
