If you have reset the password for your website, but are getting an authentication error when you try to login, the programmers found a problem with using the special character & (ampersand) in our passwords. That character has been removed as an allowed character. The allowed special characters are now: _ ! @ # ( ) Asterisk (*) and ampersand (&) are not accepted characters. Go to <https://useraccount.rootsweb.com/websites/requestChangePassword> to create a new password and be sure it does not include an ampersand (or an asterisk). The Site Restore Guide at <sites.rootsweb.com/~pasher/> will be updated to reflect this change. Pat A.
I'm IN :D I've been trying all sorts of combinations over the weekend - but changing my password (again) and this time not using a & has finally worked. Thank you all! > Asterisk (*) and ampersand (&) are not accepted characters.

I was also a victim of the & character -- I knew there was a problem, just didn't know what that problem was. Glad all is working for you now, as it is for me :) Pat
