Thank you, Barry. Turns out that my Filezilla is up to date. The problem seems to be not Filezilla but Kompozer. If I try to use that program to edit my site, and click Open, it does not open my current site and so I can't make any changes. This is my site, with URL having been saved from previous use. How do I get Kompozer to open this site? http://sites.rootsweb.com/~boyerlinks/ I can email that URL to other people and it works, but I can't get Kompozer to open it. Open your existing FileZilla and look for the Help link - top line, last item on right. Open Help and click on Check for Updates... and the program will check for the latest update and prompt you to download it. That's all you need do, as it will install the current version and reopen itself - ready to work. When you've achieved that, check in with the list and get guidance if required as how to set it up. Since I was just getting started learning to use FileZilla when everything when down, would it be best to delete the old FileZilla and start anew with the latest version? I know I will have to relearn everything from the beginning again when using FileZilla and being somewhat challenged these days at 80y old it will be difficult, so will appreciate any help anyone can give. > > Audrey > ------------------------------ Subject: Digest Footer -To contact the freepages-help list administrator, send an email to freepages-help-admin@rootsweb.com. -To post a message to the freepages-help mailing list, send an email to freepages-help@rootsweb.com. __________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to freepages-help-leave@rootsweb.com with the word "unsubscribe" without the quotes in the subject and the body of the email with no additional text. ------------------------------ End of FREEPAGES-HELP Digest, Vol 13, Issue 155 ***********************************************

Kompozer opens and edits files stored on your computer, e.g. C:\MyDocuments\websites\boyerlinks\cemeteries.html Once you have used Kompozer to edit the file, and saved it on your computer, Start Filezilla, browse to the edited file, and upload it to your web site. With Filezilla, make sure you are in the correct web and correct directory/sub-directory. Match PC version to Live-Internet version.
