Hi Rosemary, After you get your message "can't connect ..", go up to the top where the URL is and add a period after account and before roots: ie: ... account.rootsweb ... Sometimes the period is there and other times it isn't. I've read Pat Asher's summary and requested a new password but the link sent doesn't work - "We can’t connect to the server at useraccountrootsweb.com" I've copied and pasted the link, making sure that it was all there. I've tried several times within the hour. And I cleared my cache All I can think of now is that the email address I have now isn't the one I originally opened my account with - probably more than 15 years ago. Or am I missing something? Thank you Rosemary ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 03 Aug 2018 08:50:12 -0400 From: Pat Asher <pjroots@att.net> Subject: [FreeHelp]Re: Server not found To: Freepages Web Sites <freepages-help@rootsweb.com> Message-ID: <201808031250.w73CkdkC014133@mx0b-002f8e01.pphosted.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"; format=flowed At 08:44 AM 8/3/2018, Rosemary Probert wrote: >I've read Pat Asher's summary and requested a >new password but the link sent doesn't work - >"We canât connect to the server at useraccountrootsweb.com" > >I've copied and pasted the link, making sure that it was all there. >I've tried several times within the hour. >And I cleared my cache It is not you, it is the server. Thanks for that reminder. It is really weird that the URL is not consistent. Pat A.
