    3. After great advice off and on-list, I had a 14 character password and am using FileZilla instead of Dreamweaver CS5 to connect to the servers. Again using SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol; sitesuser.rootswebl.com, logon type Normal, User ybowers, new 14-character password on Port 22 I am continually getting: Error: Disconnected: No supported authentication methods available (server sent: publickey,gssapi-keyex,gssapi-with-mic) Error: Could not connect to server Would greatly appreciate some additional help. Also, my sites are all active but I never got any kind of a letter from Rootsweb. Was I supposed to? They are my sites - here’s an example of one of the URLS http://sites.rootsweb.com/~yvonne/norcallib.html BTW, I also tried ~yvonne instead of ybowers. No go. Thank you all! Y. 3. Yvonne, You posted the following url - http://sites.rootsweb.com/~yvonne/norcallib.html - which worked! Please check carefully the FTP data you posted, especially the ybowers versus yvonne. 3. Yvonne, Stick with Filezilla. The problems are not yours. To avoid all the pitfalls - created by Rootsweb I must say: In Filezilla Open File/Site Manager - (you've probably done this a million times before!) Use SFTP Host: sitesuser.rootsweb.com - Watch the spelling they don't make it easy - they are technocrats not humans! Logon is Normal User and Password as yours. BUT rootsweb has acknowledged their password system was rubbish. So before you start -  go to here (AGAIN!!) https://useraccount.rootsweb.com/websites/requestChangePassword [https://useraccount.rootsweb.com/websites/requestChangePassword]  and change your password to at least 13 characters, one number and one character like ! # ) ( Even though you've probably done it ten+ times before, as I have! But I'm now working! Wait at least 15 minutes. Then try and login to your old pages with Filezilla: http://sites.rootsweb.com/~your username/index.html (index bit not totally necessary) Give it another 10 mins and try again. Give me an email if you're stuck. I clicked on the link in the message and all was well, but when removed norcallib.html to get just http://sites.rootsweb.com/~yvonne/ I was redirected to: http://hub.computersninternet.org/hub/rootswebmaillist?w=1536;rh=http%3a%2f%2fsites%2erootsweb%2ecom%2f%7eyvonne%2f;rd=1 All future attempts go to http://www.webring.org/l/rd?ring=rootswebmaillist;id=119;url=http%3A%2F%2Fsites%2Erootsweb%2Ecom%2F%7Eyvonne%2F The web page is seen in the second link, but Ancestry footer is at the top of the page, as well as the bottom. 3. Are you by any chance using frames on your site? If so that will account for the double footers.
