Good point on the backup , they have it all. ~ Nancy -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Friday, September 4, 2015 7:47 PM To: [email protected] Subject: FREEPAGES-HELP Digest, Vol 10, Issue 207 --------- Message: 2 Date: Fri, 4 Sep 2015 07:07:57 -0400 From: "Nancy_J" <[email protected]> Subject: [FreeHelp] Easynetsites To: <[email protected]> Message-ID: <[email protected]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Good morning - we were thinking of changing to Easy net sites . Does anyone have experience with this service and the learning curve required? My concern was their file system - for uploaded files. Does it use aliases like Drupal? http://www.easynetsites.com/index.php ~ Nancy ------------------------------ Message: 3 Date: Fri, 4 Sep 2015 09:06:19 -0500 From: Billie Walsh <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [FreeHelp] Easynetsites To: [email protected] Message-ID: <[email protected]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=windows-1252; format=flowed I went to the website and did some reading. It is my impression there is no "file upload." You do everything online on their site. They have the template and you fill in the blanks. Kind of a "web sites for dummies." I was pleasantly surprised looking at their demo page. The HTML was mostly pretty clean. Quite a change from most of these kinds of places. If everything is done online, where is YOUR backup of the site. I want full control of my site. I want it on my hard drive and I want to upload it to the server. I want to know that if something happens, I have the site, can get new hosting and quickly publish it to a new location. pat
